A plataforma de streaming Netflix recebeu 31 indicações para o Critics Choice Real TV Awards 2020.
Os vencedores do Critics Choice Real TV Awards 2020 serão anunciados por meio de um comunicado à imprensa na segunda-feira, 29 de junho. Os programas exibidos entre 1 de junho de 2019 e 31 de maio de 2020 foram elegíveis para consideração.
Os membros do Critics Choice Association escolherão os vencedores, exceto nas categorias estrela feminina do ano e estrela masculina do ano, que serão escolhidas por votação dos fãs no site. A votação fica aberta até às 00:00 de 21 de junho.
RuPaul’s Drag Race do canal VH1 e a série documental Cheer da Netflix lideram as indicações, mas no total são 89 programas concorrendo ao segundo ano da premiação.

O Critics Choice Association também anunciou que o apresentador e produtor de Survivor, Jeff Probst, receberia o Critic Choice Real TV Impact Award por “contribuições contínuas à indústria da televisão sem scripts”. O programa completou recentemente sua 40ª temporada.
O que é o Critics Choice Real TV Awards
Os Critics Choice Real TV Awards foi criado em 2019, quando o CCA (Critics Choice Association) e o NPACT uniram forças para criar uma plataforma de prêmios em larga escala, dedicada a dar atenção e suporte críticos a um gênero robusto e em constante evolução.
Os prêmios comemoram a programação nas plataformas de transmissão, cabo e streaming e também reconhecem os líderes do setor com prêmios especiais, destacando as realizações da carreira.
